Book Giveaway for #YALAUNCH.
Check it out. I’m running a live stream for the very first time. I’m a little nervous – hopefully normal, since I’ve never done it before.
I’ve the microphones (mostly) figured out, the staging is nailed down, and I’ve got the Roland VR-HD50, 2 GH3s and 2 HVX170s all ready to go. We’ll be streaming on Twitch, and later posting to Youtube. The stream link will http://www.twitch.tv/katebrauning
This whole thing is very close to my heart – my wife’s novel, How We Fall, is debuting, and I want to support her and give her as much of a boost into authordom as I can.
If you are into reading AT ALL, I highly recommend checking the stream out. They’re giving away 100 bo0ks after all. 100!
So, I know this is completely off-topic, but this post is very close to my heart. My wife, the lovely Kate Brauning, has been on a journey to towards being a published author since she was 12. This fall, her dream is becoming a reality, and today she has finally revealed the cover of her upcoming young adult novel, How We Fall. I’m very proud of her, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t share this big day of hers with you. Go, check out her blog post, and maybe like her brand new Facebook page!
My Cover Reveal for How We Fall!
This video is literally like 3 seconds long.
In mere days I am going to have the privilege of attending a workshop in Austin Texas that goes by the name of Masters in Motion.
It is going to be awesome.
The list of people presenting and teaching absolutely blows my mind. Suffice it to say that if I’m a fan of theirs online and I read their blog, they’re going to be there.
I’m going to die.
Oh, and I’m going to try to take some photos and do a blog about it afterwards.
I have an all-new website courtesy of Brand New Web & Creative Development. They did a great job of putting it together to fit my vision, and I really appreciate all the hard work they put into it. Go check it out, it has three brand new demo reels from Paragon: an overall demo, a commercial demo, and a wedding demo. Enjoy!

This morning I rode a bucket lift up into the sky. It was scary but I did it anyway. I got a cool shot that I don’t get to shoot very often, and I broadened my experience. I left my comfort zone, which I think is very important. It’s outside your comfort zone that you’ll start to push your creativity.
Check it out, this is me as the tallest person in Sioux Center Iowa for a brief moment:
And finally, here’s a short video clip I shot on my way down, stabilized, reversed, and cleaned up:
